Meet Dusty! Dusty is a beautiful 8 year old Sheltie male. He loves his people and gets longs find with other dogs and cats. Dusty loves to play with this toys and does just fine with his fetch and retrieve. Dusty weighs around 21 pounds and needs to put on a few pounds to be at an ideal weight. He did test positive for Lymes and is currently on his antibiotics and will be finishing these up in November. Dusty will be getting his neuter the end of October and is up to date on all of other vetting needs and is micro-chipped. Dusty is very friendly and has wonderful house manners and is house trained. Dusty will need a secure FENCED in yard as he likes to run. No exceptions on the fenced in yard requirement.

Dusty did have a recent seizure and we're evaluating him on a low dose of Phenobarbital to control any further seizures. This will push his adoption date back to January of 2017 pending our follow up testing and vetting. Dusty is being fostered in the Butler, PA area. We are currently taking adoption applications for Dusty and you can download an application and find out more about our sheltie rescue organization at: pasheltierescue.org At this time, we are only accepting applications from within the state of PA.

About Heart's Promise Sheltie Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue (HPSR) is an all-volunteer organization established to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Shelties. All our Shelties are fostered in HPSR volunteers' homes (we do not have a shelter). All vetting needs are addressed promptly and fully, including spay or neuter. The sheltie fosters are then eligible to be adopted to carefully chosen homes, where they will be loved, well cared for. HPSR is a not for profit organization funded solely by donations.
