Meet Mildred, International Lady of Mystery- an 8 year old, 17lb, spayed female who showed up as a stray at the San Diego Shelter. No collar, no microchip, no name. Was she someone's beloved pet that was tragically separated from her family? Was she a Secret Canine Agent from the heroic Paw Patrol on a dangerous mission? We may never know? To be honest, we are not even sure what breed she is, so we have conducted a DNA test and are awaiting the results. What we do know is Mil dred is a sweet, smart and snuggly cutie, who would love a forever home to call her own! Mildred might not be totally Boston Terrier, but we could not turn a blind eye when we were informed of her condition. Poor thing had terrible teeth, a bald bootie and a golf ball size mass on her back end. It did not appear that her family, nor the Paw Patrol was going to show up to rescue her…But Never Fear Mildred - Boston Buddies is here! They sent a volunteer to the shelter that took her straight home, gave her a much needed bath and a good meal and then properly introduced her to the resident pooches! Maybe it was her “patrol training” but she fell right into the household regiment and followed her fur siblings to quickly learn how to use the doggie door and understand the rules of her foster home. After a couple of days of practicing she is walking right in formation on the leash. Mildred is dog friendly, loves all people & nonreactive to the cats she met at the vet. At night she loves to burrow under the covers and sleep right next to her foster Mom. She has been to the vet and had the mass removed, teeth cleaned and yucky teeth pulled and fecal and heart worm tested (both negative). Whatever happened in her past might never be uncovered but we have promised her a wonderful future! If you would be interested in helping Mildred lead the life she deserves then march on over to our website and fill out an adoption application here - http://www.bostonbuddies.org/adoption/applications-and-forms/adoption-application/

About Boston Buddies Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Boston Buddies is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing Boston Terriers who are abandoned, neglected or abused and placing them in permanent, loving homes. Our ultimate purpose is to match homeless or potentially homeless Boston Terriers with loving, permanent families specifically interested in the breed. We do not have a brick and mortar kennel facility. Instead, we provide our rescue dogs with temporary foster care in private homes located throughout Southern California where we can assess their personality and preferences. All of our dogs are examined by a vet and provided all necessary medical treatment, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and put on heartworm preventative.

Boston Buddies is always looking for volunteers to help with shelter checks, transport and foster home care. We invite you to visit our website – www.bostonbuddies.org

Our Adoption Process...

Boston Buddies adopts its dogs to loving and caring homes located in Southern California. We do not place our dogs in homes with children under the age of eight. The first step in adopting a Boston Buddy is to submit an Adoption Application which can be downloaded at our website, www.bostonbuddies.org. After a home visit with one of our volunteers and approval of the Application we will arrange meetings with dogs that will be compatible with the approved adopter. An Adoption Application and Adoption Fee is required, as well as follow up visits.
