I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.
MAXWELL - STUNNING SNOWSHOE's Story...
Maxwell is a stunning blue point Snowshoe that was brought to the shelter by the police department. The story is that his owner died and that is a likely reason for the police to surrender an animal to the shelter. Another is the owner went to jail, but usually in those cases the animal is put on hold giving the owner time to reclaim then when they are done serving their time (provided it's just a few days). But back to Maxwell, he was obviously a bit freaked to find himself in a noisy shelter but even then, he charmed the shelter volunteers and was super sweet. Furry Friends was given a call and asked if they had room for this big sweet pretty boy and he entered FFAR's foster/adoption program. Unfortunately, while in the shelter he caught a nasty virus (happens all the time!) and stopped eating. His foster mom gave him fluids and tried to forcefeed him, but when he began throwing up, she took him in and a feeding tube was inserted. This allowed him to get over the hump of the wicked virus and recover which he has done very nicely. He is now all better and happily waiting for his forever home. Maxwell lives in a foster home with one other adult male cat and they get along splendidly, running and playing together. It is unknown how he would be with dogs, but he seems to prefer quiet so he needs a home without small children. Maxwell is an extremely smart cat. He remembers where his toys are and if his food bowl is empty, he will go and sit in front of the cupboard where he knows his food is kept. In true Siamese fashion, he also likes to talk and carry on a conversation if he has anything important to say. He is waiting by the door when his foster mom and dad come home from work, eager to tell them about his day. If you have room in your heart for this easygoing low-maintenance big beautiful boy (vet aged at 4-5 years old), please fill out an application and adopt him today! Maxwell is magnificent!
