Nemo was originally rescued from a local kill shelter as a baby kitten during the height of kitten season last year. He became ill, as so often is the case, especially with the kittens, and when he got better, his eyes were still drippy. They got better and worse and better and worse and although this didn't affect his eating or playing or growing in any way, it did affect his adoptability. Kittens with drippy eyes scare folks because they are afraid they are sick and usually this is the case; however, Nemo is now over a year old and a healthy happy boy in all ways. Nemo is a funny guy. His foster mom adores orange tabby males and Nemo is no exception. He is outgoing and as sweet as he can be. He LOVES the dogs in his foster home and is constantly rubbing against them. Nemo loves everyone and everything. He grooms the cats in his foster home, too. He is playful and loving and follows his foster mom around like a puppy, never far from where she is and always involved in what she is doing. Due to his eye issue, Nemo has been in foster care for most of his young life. He is so deserving of a wonderful family where he can love and be loved. If your forever family could use a little orange tabby love, please consider finding Nemo! He would be so appreciative and you will, too, when you bring him home and get to know him. Nemo is amazing!
NOTE: Nemo is listed as "Special Needs" because the average adopter will not want him due to his eye issue; however, he is technically not special needs in that he will not require any special care or medical attention. His eyes look worse on some days than others and there are days when they are almost normal, but this is who he is and it is not fair to him to keep him in foster care longer waiting for this issue to completely resolve. It has improved immensely from what it was so hopefully it will continue to improve, but we cannot guarantee that it will not flare up periodically. At this point, we have decided this is who he is and part of his unique sweet self. There is no reason he can't be in a forever home. PLEASE consider this amazing boy!
