My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Artax! This handsome gentleman is looking for a family to love. When we saw Artax at the shelter we knew we couldn’t leave him behind. He was so disheartened and would barely lift his head to look at us. We weren’t sure if he was injured, sick or had just given up, but when we took him out and started to leave you could see that light start to come back in his eyes. Now at The Pet Rescue Center he is like a new dog! He is thriving with the love and attention he is getting here and can’t wait for his daily walks with our volunteers. We have introduced him to other dogs and while he does well he would probably do best as the only dog in his home. We believe he is around 4 years old which is a great age since he is still quite active but also inclined to just lounge around for the day if you want. If you think that Artax would be a good match for your family please contact The Pet Rescue Center!

ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. The Pet Rescue Center is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
