Gadget is a 10-year-old, 13-pound Terrier/Schnauzer mix. He was picked up as a stray in Moss Landing, starving and covered with matted fur. A Good Samaritan removed the matts, burrs, and fleas Gadget was suffering from, uncovering the good looking fellow you see now! Since then, he's had dental work and been neutered, and he's even put a few pounds on. This little guy is on his way back, in a big way. Now all he needs is a permanent home where he can really thrive. Gadget gets along great with other dogs and cats. He's sweet and gentle with people and great on the leash. After a brief outing, he's ready for some R&R at home. Gadget isn't what you'd call 'high energy.' Unaccustomed to being indoors, he needs monitoring in the housebreaking department. The good news is, he is learning quickly. We know this smart boy will get the hang of being a loved, indoor dog really soon. As you can see from his 'before' and 'after' photos, he's already made a ton of progress. Gadget probably has arthritis and is often stiff in the morning. He's taking an anti-inflammatory to help, but you do need to be a little gentle when getting him up in the morning. Otherwise, this guy's an easy keeper who's more than ready to be your new best bud.
