Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey, everybody! Little Cross here. I was pulled from the kill shelter in SC in the spring of 2016, but was very sick with a heartworm infection. I went to foster care for some TLC and treatments and finally arrived here in Georgia at the rescue ranch in August.
Unfortunately, those nasty worms have left me with some slight damage to my heart. They are treating me with Vetmedin, which has helped some of the other dogs here recover from the damage. It doesn’t really affect me, though, because I’m just a laid-back, easygoing guy by nature. I’m not high-energy like a lot of Terriers, but I can definitely yell at squirrels with the best of them. I don’t require a lot of “maintenance” and would prefer to spend my days by your side, watching the birds, or going for small walks.
I get along fine with other dogs and should be able to fit right in with a canine brother or sister. Or I’d be happy to be your only lap dog. The volunteers here keep telling me how “amazingly sweet and loving” I am. I’m around 3-4 years and about 16 lbs. (mostly legs).
