Facts about Jeffrey and Jeanine

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Jeffrey (adopted) and Jeanine came from a colony in a wooded area behind a busy parking lot. Their caretaker recently passed away. A concerned SICAW volunteer learned of their situation and wanted to ensure a better life for them indoors since they were friendly. While not siblings, they are friends. Jeffrey (all gray) is a super-friendly love bug who flops over for belly rubs as soon as approached. Jeannine (muted tortie) is a sweet, gentle girl, but more cautious. She takes her lead from Jeffrey, showing you she is ready for affection by kneading her petite paws and rubbing against your legs.
Jeffrey was born July 2014 . Jeanine was born July 2015.They are up to date with shots, fixed, negative for FIV / FELV, and microchipped. Currently in the care of the Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare--they can be seen in their foster home by appointment.or on the days they are at PetSmart 1520 Forest Ave.

About Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare

About Our Rescue Group...

Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare (SICAW) is a non-profit tax exempt organization founded in 1972 dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of stray and abandoned animals. Volunteer members rescue homeless animals roaming the streets, tend to their needs and place them in good homes. All pets are examined by Veterinarians, receive protective inoculations, necessary blood work, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped.
In 1996, SICAW established its own low cost spay/neuter program, Neuter Network. Each year millions of healthy dogs and cats are euthanized or abandoned, falling victim to hunger, disease and cruelty. This low cost program helps put an end to the misery of pet overpopulation. SICAW is also committed to furthering the education of the public about the importance of spaying/neutering and proper pet care.
All SICAW work is done by volunteers and monies received through contributions, membership and fundraising activities are used for animal care and services, advertising, printing and other expenses of administration.
