Sadie's Story...
Birthdate: February 12, 2016. Meet Sadie! Sadie was rescued in Louisiana with her sister, Maggie, as puppies just wandering in the streets. They didn't have much hope of finding a home down there, so they were transferred to the Battle Creek Humane Society. They found out that these two girls did not do well in a shelter environment either. So we were contacted to see if we could help them along and get them to trust people again. Well it worked. Sadie is extremely friendly once she gets to know you. At first, she's a little shy and unsure of men, but that only last a few minutes and then she is all kisses. Sadie weighs about 45 lbs. and is going to grow a little more. She is great with other dogs. She is active and still has a lot of puppy in her! Sadie does like to eat, and if she is with another dog she will need to be separated when eating.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Sterling Heights Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
