Fluffy is a really cute Robo Hamster that is not for everyone! Robo's are incredibly small and very, very fast. Fluffy is like that but also very difficult to hold. So ideally his new family will enjoy just watching him hang out, eat and exercising on his wheel. We strongly recommend him only for adults or older children who won't try to pick him up. He was purchased for a young boy but turned out to be too hard to handle. Robo's on average live to be about three years old.

Robo's, like all hamsters are very fragile at all times. If you do handle Fluffy, keep in mind that hamsters sometimes will jump so make sure he can't run and hide from you.

Give him at least one night to settle in before socializing starts (if you want to do that). (With hamsters it's always better to go slow, letting them get used to smells and sounds in a new environment will put them at ease.) A large aquarium equipped with a running (enclosed/solid) wheel, lots of clean fluffy bedding (minimum of 2 inches) like Care Fresh, a few hiding places and high quality food mix will keep this little gal healthy and content. Fluffy's home should be an aquarium like this, a minimum of 10 gallons, and cleaned at least once a week. (Because of their small size Robo hamsters would be able to squeeze thru most cage bars.) He'll also need a small bowl/container with dust/sand (like for Chinchilla's) to roll in. This is critical in order for him to keep his fur/skin healthy.

Hamster's can only see an inch or two in front of them, so they are prone to falling if not supervised. Ask to check out Fluffy and you'll see why we so many people fall for these wee ones!
