Helloooooo nice person! I'm Roland; who are you? You say you're looking for a kitten??? That's amazing! Because I'm a kitten! You say you knew that? That you came here to the rescue group looking for ME? Truly? You saw me on Facebook when your friend shared my link on their page, and said I was a beautiful, young lad in Washington, DC, who needed someone JUST LIKE THEM to be totally happy for the rest of his life? Well, isn't that amazing! I guess that means we're going to be best friends FOREVER! And to think it all started when someone clicked that 'share' button.

Adoptable Roland needs a forever home! This little boy is no joke in the snuggle department. He has equal parts energy and patience.  He is full of life, love, and would be a puuurfect addition to your home! Roland is young enough to adapt to living with other cats or even dogs. Looking for two kittens? Consider adopting Roland and his sister Riley together!

Foster update! 'Roland is very affectionate.  He prefers to always be near me and constantly touching his nose to mine.  He is quick to purr when you pet him and would be a great cat for any home!'

Due to his young age, Roland has not yet been neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 2/10/2017.

The adoption fee for this cat is $150 ($275 for two cats or kittens adopted together), which includes the cost of routine vetting. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Amanda at!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
