My name is Thumbelina - I'm around 2-3 years old, I've been so busy I can't keep track of a silly thing like age. I'm a petite polydactyl weighing in at just over 6 pounds and I have 23 toes! I was a stray who came to ARR for foster care and gave birth to FIVE kittens just two days later. I successfully raised those five kittens and then being the super cat I am, helped care for DOZENS more over the summer as I accepted every orphan kitten I met. Now that I'm completely done nursing, I've been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and my own cat personality is really coming out. I'm extremely playful and I very much enjoy being petted. And if I decide you're not done petting me, even if you think you are, I will grab your hand with my mittened paws and pull it back so you can continue.
I've lived with cats and dogs but I can play kind of rough so any animal playmates should be able to stand their ground with me. It's probably best I don't go to a home with children because of this rough play but I'll give an adult household plenty of comic relief! I'm chatty and I love food, toys, and climbing on my cat tree. Come meet me soon!
Oh, and did I mention I'm famous!! I was on Denver's Pet Line 9 Saturday morning 10/15 at 7:15 a.m. with 2 of my foster siblings and my foster mom! Since I'm a polydactyl cat my adoption fee is $150...being extra special and all! I'd love to meet you soon!
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.
2. We'll contact you to schedule a home visit.
3. If the pet looks like a great match, fill out our Adoption Agreement online (or Foster-to-Adopt Agreement), pay the Adoption Fee, and arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
