Trooper's Story...
Trooper and Domino are 9-10 month old Yorkie/shih tzu mixes that were surrendered to us when their family could no longer care for them! They are each around 12 lbs! They are a little timid but super sweet! They do well with other animals. We haven't had them around children! They have been started on house and kennel training! They are utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and will be altered before placement!

Unfortunately, the owner did shave him down before surrendering to us so we also posted a before picture!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trooper, a Grand Bay Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
