Hi, my name is Trump. I was named after a well-known business owner. My siblings (James Madison, Lincoln, and Garfield) and I are so grateful that Animal Allies of Texas saved us from being euthanized. We were all bottle fed, then graduated to eating mush, and now we are eating canned and dry kitten food. The children and adults in our foster family will tell you that I especially love attention and will seek you out to have my love tank filled every day. One way I show my love is when I push my nose into your face and give you kisses. I am very playful with the other kittens but also enjoy sitting in your lap. Although I love being with my foster family, I’ll soon be ready for my forever home. If I sound like a kitty that you would like to meet, please complete an on-line application and one of AAT’s kind volunteers will be in touch.
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
Come Meet Our Pets...
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
