I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
This is Cindy (HWTH#16336A). She is a Siberian Husky mix, DOB: 3/2/10. Cindy weighs approximately 75-80 pounds (she is slightly overweight) and stands 24 inches at the shoulders. This most beautiful girl is a real sweetheart who likes to give small kisses. She is a little unsettled with her new surroundings but should settle quickly into her new Forever home with lots of love, structure and exercise to give her stability (she shows absolutely no signs of aggression). Her new owner should try to address her weight so Cindy can enjoy a healthier life. When Cindy is thoroughly comfortable in her new home, she will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. Once Cindy has bonded with her new owner, she will be an amazing and entertaining canine companion. Cindy is good with other dogs and is crate trained. For more information on Cindy, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.
Halfway To Home was formed in 2001 due to the need in the Antelope Valley to rescue the many homeless, helpless pets. We have animals from individuals who have to give up pets, and from animal shelters that have darling individuals who need to be spared euthanasia. There are puppies coming from individuals who did not spay and neuter in a timely manner. Your tax deductible donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 512 Rosamond, CA 93560 or you can visit us on our web site at www.halfwaytohome.net and make a donation through PayPal.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Come and see us every Saturday & Sunday, rain or shine from 1 to 5 PM at the Westside Palmdale Petsmart, located on 10th Street West, next to Trader Joe's, just south of Rancho Vista Blvd (Avenue P).
We are in need of volunteers to help out at our pet adoptions at PetSmart in west Palmdale on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 5pm. If interested, please visit us during our adoption hours at the west Palmdale PetSmart or call Suzanne at 661-824-4495.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption procedure includes an application to make sure the dog and the people will be a good match, an adoption fee to cover the cost for shots, spaying or neutering, and a home check. Halfway to Home dogs are adopted out to be part of the family, and many of them are housetrained, if not, we ask that you are willing to undertake that task. Our dogs are intended to be indoor/outdoor family members. Doggie doors are a plus.
Thank You! Your message has been sent to Halfway to Home.
You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
