Meet the gorgeous Kuda!  Kuda is just a tad over 1 year old.  One of the Shelters in NC reached out to us about a stunning boy that was deteriorating in the shelter. Huskies do not do well in ‘captivity’.

Kuda is a little hesitant around new people but warms up quickly. He walks well on a leash and is house broken. True to the breed, he’s a vocal guy – so no apartments/condos please. Kuda is not overly fond of a crate, also a breed characteristic. So we’re hoping for an adopter who won’t leave him long periods of time. We put a blanket and bone in his crate to show him it’s a safe place and that has helped. Kuda aims to please and longs to give kisses. He is a sensitive boy who needs a dedicated adopter who understands the breed. Kuda has classic Husky selective hearing. Kuda enjoys his foster home’s  yard and requires a 6ft privacy fence. He would be best as an only dog or with one other laid back dog as he doesn’t care for too much rough-housing.

Kuda is neutered and up to date on his shots, but he is heartworm positive. He has begun his treatment and the rescue will pay for all costs of our treatment plan until he’s negative. Kuda is being fostered in NC and can be transported to MD or NJ for an approved adopter.

Update from foster mom on 10/23/16:  Kuda❤❤❤❤❤
Our local animal control reached out to us to help Kuda. He had some behavioral issues at the shelter (huskies do not do well in captivity),& because of that he could not be adopted to the public (no other rescues stepped up for him either). Since arriving here he has been nothing but happy & snuggly, & extremely fun & vocal. He is potty trained & crate trained, & has done very well with most of the other dogs here in my house. We feel it is best that Kuda be placed in a home with a fenced in yard,(no apartments please) & with somebody who will not leave him for long periods of time as he loves his humans. Kuda is stunning & wonderful- somebody has to be looking for a dog like him!
