Hi, there! My name is BAMBI. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya! Just so you know, I’m not a little deer, I’m a DOGGIE! I don’t want you to get confused, you know?

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you!

I am an Australian Cattle dog aka Red Heeler / Terrier mix, 2 years old and I weigh 12 pounds. I will have had all of my shots and be spayed before I go to meet you in my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures said I’d also be microchipped – whatever THAT is.

Wanna hear some more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am a friendly girl. I am house-trained and crate-trained. Pretty good, huh? And look at my interesting markings on my face – half and half – Cool, huh?

I am super sweet, my foster tells everyone. I know she’s telling the truth because they all love on me and smile and speak very sweetly to me. So, it must be true. How ‘bout that?

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email mpringle001@comcast.net and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

About A Better Life - Columbus

About Our Rescue Group...

Our only purpose is to match dogs, (that would otherwise die on the streets of Houston or be euthanized at a "shelter",) with the most appropriate adopter and give each dog a chance at life that they would not have had.

Our Adoption Process...

If interested in a particular dog, we ask you to fill out an application. The application is thoroughly evaluated and calls are made to your vet. We check property tax records to be sure the address that is provided matches the tax records. If you rent, we check with your landlord. When approved and the adoption fee is paid and the adoption contract is signed, we make arrangements to have your new family member transported to you.
