Sophie is a special needs senior looking for her forever home. Her issue is that she has hip dysplasia, but she still gets around okay and with regular medication, should do well. Her ears were recently treated for a yeast infection and we believe we can get this cleared up. Sophie is house-trained and crate-trained and she knows several basic commands. She hasn’t been around cats, but will chase squirrels. She enjoys the company of people of all sizes, but children who are school age are preferred. She has been good with small dogs and hasn’t spent much time around larger dogs, so proper introductions would be needed. When she was younger, she used to jump a 3 ft. fence, but may not now with her hip issue. She is a loyal and affectionate dog who loves petting and just hanging out where ever her person is. She walks okay on a leash and enjoys going for walks. Sophie is not protective of her food or toys and will be current on vaccinations, microchipped and tested for heartworms before going to her forever home. Sophie weighs about 70 lbs. and is 8-9 years old, spayed and hoping there is a family willing to let her live out her life with them. If you can open your heart and home for Sophie, please complete an application at www.NebraskaNoKill.org. If you would like to meet this girl, please contact email@example.com.
