Benny is being fostered in Babson Park, FL.

Benny is a 1 year old, adorable, tri-color boy weighing in at just under 15 pounds.  He was found as a stray dog and no owners could be located or stepped forward to claim him.  Benny is a super playful little dog that gets along great with other dogs and children aged 8 and older.  We haven’t had him around younger children or cats, but we can test him out with younger children or have him ”cat” scanned upon request.  This little love bug walks nicely on a leash and is housebroken and crate trained.  He has quickly learned what “go to bed” means and will voluntarily go into his crate at night time and for meals.  He also has a favorite toy that he keeps in his crate so the other dogs don’t steal it from him.  Benny is looking for a family to call his own. Could you be the family for Benny?  For photos of Benny in his foster home, click on his album:

About Rat Terrier ResQ - CT

About Our Rescue Group...

Rat Terrier ResQ is a national all-volunteer Rat Terrier dog rescue group committed to saving Rat Terriers in need. These dogs are special loving creatures and, at times, end up with people who don't understand them. These Rat Terriers may end up in shelters after having been abandoned, neglected or abused. We work to get them safe, loved, and healthy -- and then find them the real forever homes they so rightly deserve.. Learn more about us at our website:

Come Meet Our Pets...

Because all of our dogs are located in a network of foster homes across the U.S. and southern Canada, we do not have a shelter or other public location. Visit our website at to see all of our available dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

All inquiries about Rat Terrier ResQ dogs need to go through our applications team. We go through a careful process to ensure that this will a permanent, loving relationship.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated throughout the process. Feel free to ask questions and email back and forth as much as you like with the dog's foster parent. You will also receive a phone call from an Applications Coordinator for an interview and a Home Visit Coordinator will be working to set up a Home Visit.

Once you are approved to adopt your new family member, we will send you an adoption contract to read, sign, and send back along with your adoption fee ($150 for adult dogs; $175 for puppies under 6 months). After your contract has been received, we will work with you to arrange transport to get your new family member home to you!
