My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who’s this gorgeous, respectable-looking fellow in the bow tie? This is Patrick! Respectable is an understatement when it comes to describing his personality, as you would never find a calmer and more well-mannered gentleman than the likes of Patrick. Like any fine sir, Patrick’s manners are unmatchable; he’s quiet indoors, seldom barks, and always practices self-restraint, never jumping on people or at other animals. Of course with great manners come even greater social skills, as Patrick not only gets along fantastically with other dogs (so great he’s been known to share his kennel with other shelter dogs!) he also maintains his iconic gentlemanly demeanor in the presence of cats as well. Cleanliness accompanies his fine etiquette as well, as Patrick is housebroken, keeping his kennel as spic and span as any. However, as chivalrous as Patrick may be, don’t mistake his well-mannered behavior and level temper for meekness or mildness. While he may keep a level head indoors as any courteous fellow should, the moment he’s put on a leash and taken outside for a walk, Patrick is ready to move at a brisk and speedy pace, making him an ideal companion to anyone looking for someone to jog or run with. There are times he’d rather lead than be lead, but Patrick’s quick to adjust to directions once given as with any dog as intelligent as he is, which makes for ample opportunities for training him if you desire. While he may be a gentleman indoors and the ideal workout buddy on the leash, off the leash and in your backyard is where Patrick will, without a doubt, let loose and have a little fun. Patrick loves to pounce back and forth through the grass, and loves it even more when someone throws a toy across the yard for him to chase down. He loves to roll around in the grass as well, mostly in hopes someone would give him the coveted belly rub all dogs know and love. Overall, it’s no wonder he’s named after the celebrated saint, because you’d have to have the luck of the Irish to bring home a gentleman as fine as Patrick!

Young puppies are under 2 years old. Young dogs all come with spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, and vet exam. Adoption fee is $50-$150.
