Jack's Story...
Hello...I'm Jack and a nice person got me from an elderly lady who could no longer care for me and kept me for a couple of days before bringing me here to find my furever home. I was scared when I first arrived in her home and had an accident in the kitchen but after that would walk to the door when I needed to go out. She said I'm very loving, do fine in the car and love blankets. I did fine with the other dog I lived with (also elderly) but did not live with children in her home. I've been on a couple of Canines for Cardio walks from the VHS to Garvin Park and I'll admit that the walking part was OK but the being carried part was great! That's just a very long way for a tiny slightly more mature gentleman like me. During my temperament evaluation I was tolerant, sweet and somewhat shy but did well with new people. And I'll likely bond strongly with my person. The people here have fallen in love with me. Why don't you come in and see if you do too.
My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, up to date immunizations, nationally recognized microchip and more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Evansville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
