Oxford's Story...
Up for adoption: Oxford! He can be adopted in Texas and New England. He is very kid and dog friendly!

Oxford is a striking brindle lab mix. He is about 55 lbs, and a little over a year old.

He is very sweet - loves people and other dogs. He loves to chase squirrels, and is probably not a good fit for a home with cats. He is great with children, especially those over 7 yrs old.

Oxford loves to play and run. He would make a great loyal companion in an active home. He is fully housebroken, vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped and crate trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oxford, a Austin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
