Cana & Lux have been getting accustomed to the good life after being pulled from a city shelter. Cana happily wheeks when she senses veggies nearby and Lux (beige hair) loves napping on cozy fleece. Lux is a little shy but it doesn't stop her from venturing out of their hidey house to explore with her cage-mate. Cana likes an occasional nose scratch when you pass by the cage and both settle down for lap time. Lux has longer hair so she will need extra grooming and regular baths if her hair is left long in the back. Both are young adults and ready to find their forever home where they will treated like queens for the rest of their days!
Orange County Cavy Haven is a non-profit organization dedicated to rehoming guinea pigs in Southern California. We rescue abandoned guinea pigs from shelters in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
Our guinea pigs are rehabilitated, socialized, and fostered by volunteers until they are ready to be adopted.
Orange County Cavy Haven was founded in 2003 as a rescue for guinea pigs. Although we are based in Orange County, we rescue guinea pigs from L.A. and Bay Area shelters as well. We also have foster homes in L.A. County.
We are always in need of new foster homes. Please email to find out more info about fostering for our rescue. To find out more about our rescue, visit out website.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
