Say hello to Jerry! At the young age of 10 months, Jerry was found guarding a junk yard and saved by rescue. Now he gets to play and be a puppy again. He is not your typical puppy though. Not mischievous, energetic, or feisty. He is very well behaved, especially for his young age. He can be trusted home alone for several hours without accidents, or chewing/tearing anything up. He is potty trained, walks well on a leash, does great loading up in the SUV and enjoys car rides.

Jerry wants to please you so he learns very quickly, with some yummy treats he learned to sit and shake in one day! He is very calm most of the time, and loves taking long naps and cuddling with kids. He patrols the house, walking the halls, checking the all the rooms and doors. He's not an excessive barker, but will bark when someone is at the door, or if he hears an unusual noise. He needs a somewhat playful doggy companion to romp around the yard with once or twice a day. He would climb a chain link fence in a heartbeat so he needs a secure yard with a high wood fence, as he is quite the agile boy and able to climb. He does really well with other non-aggressive dogs (he will reciprocate aggressive behavior). You have to watch him around the front door, because he is a runner. Jerry is learning not to beg for food, and he's made a lot of progress. He went to a pumpkin patch and he was great in a large crowd and with lots of toddlers.

Jerry is a dream dog, and is going to grow up to be an incredible Pyr. Jerry is just a lovable guy who wants nothing more than to be loved and have fun all day! He will be a great pet for an active family.

All of our dogs require secure and VISIBLE fencing.

Adoption Fee: $375
* Note to NW Adopters: The adoption fee does not include the cost of transport.

There are many things YOU can do to help us:
1. Adopt! If this Gentle Giant looks like the one for you, fill out an adoption application today!
2. Foster! This is a temporary commitment that gives all dogs in need the assured time to find the loving home they deserve. Your benevolent decision to foster unquestionably determines whether a loving dog gets to live or die.
3. Donate! Safeguarding these Gentle Giants result in expenses that are in upwards $8/day. If veterinary care is needed, the costs exponentiate to $1,000+ for a single dog. Every penny you donate makes an impact when it comes to vet bills! If you were to make a one-time donation of just $25, you would be adding 3 more valuable days to the life of every rescued dog and provide the chance to find the home they have been waiting for their entire life.

As always, all donations are gratefully accepted.
