Facts about Joey the Gentle Ginger

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10678748-Tara
  • Hair: Short

Rescued from the streets of Bay Ridge, Joey was actively running up to everyone who passed him by, begging to be brought into a home again. Obviously, Joey must have been abandoned, because of how much he trusts humans and how happy he is with life indoors.

This orange-and-white dude is a total mush. He’ll let you hold him and cuddle him—so long as he has your touch, he’s in heaven. And he’s a complete lap cat, too; he’ll jump right into your lap, and all you have to do is smile his way. Not content to be the sweetest guy of all time with people, he’s also great with other cats. In short: Joey is one special angel who deserves the very best, because that’s what he is!

Joey is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for FeLV and positive for FIV, which simply means he must remain indoors, eat high quality food, and see a vet annually—as ALL cats should! In other words, he will live a long and happy life without any additional treatment. If you’d like to meet Joey, who most certainly would love to meet you, contact Tara Green at catsbkny@gmail.com!

Thank you for thinking of animals in need - your support allows us to help the next furry sweetheart!

About Brooklyn Animal Action

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress by working with our communities. We are dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Release programs, finding homes for adoptable animals, performing community outreach and education, and engaging in advocacy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please email us at BrooklynAnimalAction@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued cats.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt one of our animals, they must fill out an adoption application. If that is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for a donation to help us continue our work.
