Zuma's Info...

Zuma's Story...
9.11.16 Zuma was born on April Fools Day, but is NO fool. She is a little over 5 months and is very sweet. Her Dad is a black lab and Mom is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Zuma actually has the ridge along her back. She warmed up immediately and just wants to be loved. She and her brother don’t understand, but today is the first day of their life! Zuma is good with kids and does well with other dogs. I haven’t tried introducing the cat yet, they have had to meet several dogs already so trying not to overwhelm them all at once. Zuma will be spayed on Sept 19 and get her shots. She will also get microchipped and be wormed again (it was already done once). She will also be started on HW preventative and already has had a flea/tick treatment. If you are interested in Zuma, get your application in quickly. She is a beauty and a sweet girl, she will find a home fast! Apply at www.hubbardshounds.com

Adoption donation is $300

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zuma, a Homer Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Homer, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
