Shadow is a 5 year old poodle mix. He weighs about 22 lbs and comes to Rover Rescue from a shelter in southern Indiana. Shadow is a very sweet boy who just loves to be with his person. His name not only matches his gray coloring, but his personality as well. He follows me everywhere I go- even outside, he is always right behind me. He loves to sit next to me on the couch and sleep in my bed at night. Shadow gets along well with the low key female dogs in my house, as well as the cats. He is working on his house training. I don't think Shadow saw much of the world before coming to my house. He is afraid to get in my car, but once in he settles down. When Shadow came in to the shelter he was matted and had burrs in his coat, because of this he has been shaved down. Once his hair grows back in, he will need regular brushing as well as trips to the groomer to prevent the mats from coming back. Shadow is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and tested negative for heartworm. Shadow did see the vet recently and was diagnosed with a Grade 3 heart murmur. This does not bother him now but it is something to monitor as it can potentially get worse and need medical intervention. Shadow is a sweet boy looking for a home that will love him as much as he loves them! His adoption fee is $200. If you're interested in learning more about Shadow, please call his foster mom, Katie, at 630-947-2589.
