Dakota's Story...
Dakota is a laid back rotti and goes with the flow with whatever you want to do. She was taken to the kill shelter when her owner died and his family said they couldn't care for her. Rottweilers of Las Vegas pulled her and she is currently in boarding and participates in doggie daycare. She is a bit overweight and will need to lose a few pounds. Although she is not aggressive at all, she plays a little rough and could accidentally hurt a small dog, so prefer a home with another calm large dog, probably male would be best. She had a male rotti in daycare that she claimed as her boyfriend and was sad when he went home. Dakota just turned 7 years young, DOB 9/27/09 and AKC registered. Because of her weight issue, it is putting a lot of pressure on her legs so sometimes if she runs or tries to play, she will hurt her front leg and may limp a little. So it is important that she is put on a diet and gets plenty of easy exercise. Swimming would be good for her because it is easy on her joints. We are not quite sure how she will do with cats so probably to be safe, she shouldn't be in a home with cats.

If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please fill out an adoption app at A home check is required and $150 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a Las Vegas Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
