ABBIE's Story...
~ ADOPTION PENDING ~

You may meet and apply to adopt Abbie at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, JANUARY 15th from 12 Noon – 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Abbie is a female Yorkshire Terrier mix only 1 year old. She weighs just 10 pounds full-grown and has wispy black and tan coloring. Her coat is easy to brush out and maintain. Abbie is a young girl, still very much a puppy at heart. She loves to play with other dogs and toys and is very alert and responsive. We think she is quite intelligent, learning to come when she is called and learning basic commands with ease. Abbie catches on to the ways of the household rapidly and is housebroken. Her indoor manners are very good. When she is not sacked out on a comfy dog bed snoozing, Abbie can usually be found gently trying to get one of her canine friends to play and be silly. Her play is very appropriate and sweet. Abbie is good with children and great with other dogs. She is comfortable playing with big and small dogs alike. Abbie sleeps all night long in a doggie bed and will wait until you get up in the morning before getting up herself. She is agile and quick and would probably be a star at the dog park or doggie beach. Abbie is small but mighty! She is affectionate and can be quite devoted with those she knows, but she is never anxious or demanding and seems to be well adjusted and confident in herself. Abbie rides in the car quietly and is good in public. Abbie was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She is very healthy and ready for her new forever loving home today!

Abbie’s adoption donation is $225 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Abbie is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Sharon and is ready for her forever home.

You may meet and apply to adopt Abbie at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, JANUARY 15th from 12 Noon – 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH located at 1280 Bison Ave., Newport Beach, CA 92660. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ABBIE, a Newport Beach Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
