BUTCH's Story...
~ ADOPTION PENDING ~

You may meet and apply to adopt Butch at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30th from 12:30 – 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com *PLEASE NOTE: Butch will be arriving at about 12:30 due to foster's schedule.

Butch is a male Shih Tzu/Pug mix approximately 3 years old. He is a stout, round boy weighing a solid and hefty 20 pounds full grown. Butch has been groomed and currently has a very short/shaved haircut. His coat is non-shedding and will grow out longer if allowed. He is considered tri-color with white and tan on his body and light gray colored ears. His coloring will be more apparent and quite handsome as his fur grows back out. Butch is a jolly, happy dog who adores going for walks and seeing the sights. He is curious about everything and has a nice amount of energy for longer brisk walks or shorter strolls through the neighborhood. Butch is good with other dogs but its people he loves the most and so he doesn't really require a canine companion in the household. However, if you do have another dog, Butch is wonderful company and easygoing with his doggie friends. He likes attention and will do well in a home where he can have equal indoor loving time and outdoor fun. Butch will putter merrily around the house during the day and at night he will follow you dutifully upstairs to bed (and try to get into bed with you). If he is unsuccessful, Butch will sleep in a dog bed all night long, and possibly snore a little. Butch rides well in the car and has good manners in public. He was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray. Butch is healthy and ready for his new forever home today!

Butch’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Butch is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Mary B. and is ready for his forever home.

You may meet and apply to adopt Butch at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30th from 12:30 – 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH located at 1280 Bison Ave., Newport Beach, CA 92660. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BUTCH, a Newport Beach Shih Tzu/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Pug for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Pug dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Pug breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
