Facts about Link

Brown ticked tabby, short hair, male, born approx. 6/1/14, #12417

Link has been shuffled around a lot in his young life. He was born to a homeless cat and taken in with his siblings as a kitten until he was adopted by a military family who soon ended up having to give him up; he bounced to foster and then adopted again into a home where he lived for about a year and a half before the couple’s relationship ended and he went with his guardian to his mother’s home until she had to sell it—while that was going on some family members took Link in until they abruptly said they didn’t want him and he had to leave immediately. The Rescue House was then contacted and we were asked if we could help Link find a new stable forever home.

Link is understandably a little nervous in new situations; change comes hard for him despite his familiarity with it. He needs a few weeks to figure it all out, so don’t take it personally if he hides at first. Just wait! Because after that time, Link will turn into an extremely loving cat who is standing tall and proud while he follows you around the house almost like a dog. His quiet little meow is utilized to show excitement or remind you that Link is there and would absolutely love to have some attention. Link wants to spend as much time as possible with his person; while he doesn’t like to be held down or carried much, he will climb into your lap and snuggle for hours. He is an excellent and devoted companion.

Link has lived with other cats most of his life and is well socialized and comfortable in their company. We don’t know his thoughts on dogs. A calmer household would suit him best so we do not recommend a home with young children.

Link needs love and stability; with those two things, he will flourish and thrive. Will you give Link the opportunity to show his gratitude and delight in your company?
