Facts about Sasha!

  • Breed: Pomeranian
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
One look at little Sasha, our 12 year old, 10 pound Pom Pom and you will know what sweetness is!
Sasha loves to be with her foster brothers and sisters. She likes to play with them and other small dog friends. She even loves my her super grumpy chihuahua brother and follows him around the house. Sasha also enjoys walks outside and she will stop and do her business many times on the walk. At this point, she most likely can't go on super long walks, but she does love being outside.

Sasha can be shy and submissive to people and won't make eye contact. She does best when humans have a kind tone, otherwise she can be frightened. You will see Sasha get a kick in her step when food or treats are around and she dances when her foster Mom comes home. Right now, Sasha does sleep a lot and is probably the best snuggler we know! She is still learning the wee wee pads, so patience for this sweet lady is key. When out and about, people LOVE her. Everyone stops on the street to pet her and admire how cute she is. Everyone whowho meets her has instantly fallen in love with her. She is the kind of pup that makes you feel happy and just want to love on her.

About PupStarz Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer dog rescue serving New York City and the Tri-State area.

We are dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs in public shelters who are at high risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation and those in danger of abuse or neglect.

Because PupStarz Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our “starz” are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await adoption into a forever home. We rely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers to open their hearts and homes to dogs in need.

Animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given all appropriate veterinary care. We assist dogs in distress regardless of age, breed, temperament, or a potential difficult placement. In order to care for animals in need, we are determined to keep administrative costs conservative.

Following a comprehensive adoption process, dogs are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue takes considerable care in appropriately matching and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their lives. Our non-profit remains committed to the welfare of our “starz” beyond the adoption process. We follow up with adopters to ensure a smooth transition, encourage positive training techniques, and engage in open communication to offer any additional assistance.

Finally, we strive to work with area shelters, rescues, and humane organizations to develop a supporting network of volunteers to create a better world for those who have no voice.
