Bonnie is a female, 5-month old American Staffordshire Terrier blend. Bonnie weighs approximately 30 pounds. She is white with a tan spot on her eye and hip.  She is a bundle of energy, but loves to relax in your lap.  She loves to romp and play with her siblings and toys. Bonnie loves to give lots of hugs and kisses.  She is very curious about cats.

She has visited with young kids but has to be reminded that she is a big girl around little kids. She loves to shower them with kisses.  I have a teenage son and they love to play and chase him all around the house.  Bonnie is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and her adoption comes with one free month of pet health insurance! Please email me to meet this little bundle of love and remember ... when you adopt a puppy you are making a lifetime commitment to that puppy!

She is currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and is in a foster home. By adopting her, you not only give her a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care.

If you are interested in adopting, please email adopt@sanantoniopetsalive.org with Pet name and ID#. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond as all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis.

About San Antonio Pets Alive

About Our Rescue Group...

San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA!) is a new organization that will be modeled after the very successful Austin Pets Alive (APA). APA was instrumental in helping Austin achieve their goal of no longer euthanizing healthy, adoptable pets from the city shelter. SAPA has teamed up with Animal Care Services in order for the city of SA to reach their no-kill goal.

In partnership with San Antonio’s Animal Care Services, we are implementing innovative and progressive programs to:

Rescue as many pets as possible off of the daily “euthanasia list”. In our rescue program, to not duplicate work of other agencies, we focus solely on the pets who have already been passed over by other groups and the shelters’ adoption programs and create programs to save their lives and find them new homes.

Our rescue program is focused 100% on the dogs and cats who are about to be killed. We wait until the shelters have chosen the pets they want for their adoption programs and other rescue groups have pulled the pets that they can take, then we go in and rescue the rest that we can fit into our programs.

Email adopt@sanantoniopetsalive.org if you have any
questions.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
