Rusty came from a Southern California shelter and we were expecting a naughty terrier. What we actually got was a super sweet guy! He listens so well! Gets along great with the other dogs and plays nicely. He's so happy to stretch his legs, runs around and plays, but comes right back when we call him.

This guy is underweight by at least a pound. He is a social eater, and not pushy, so we are helping him feel comfortable enough to eat. We expect him to be ready for adoption very soon!

His adoption fee includes his neuter, rabies, shots UTD, microchip and training.

About The Rescued Pup

About Our Rescue Group...

The Rescued Pup is an all breed, all size, all age rescue. All of our dogs come from high-intake / low funded shelters, or other situations where they are at risk of being euthanized.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets stay in homes with their foster families and are located mainly in San Diego County, CA. An application is required to visit our pets.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process is broken down into 4 steps.

Step 1 begins with filling out an application.

Step 2 is a meet and greet with your family members/roommates and existing dogs. (Puppies under 4 months of age will not meet existing dogs)

Step 3 is a home visit. Where we verify the following:
~Where will the dog sleep
~Where will the dog be kept when no one is home
~Where will the dog play

Step 4 is the final step and is when you sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.
