Amara's Story...
At a guess Amara is a Border Collie, Brittany Spaniel Mix. She was abandoned at the dog park with her brother. This was very traumatic for her and having to stay at the animal shelter didn't help matters. Now in foster care she is great with the other dogs and cats. Amara is sweet and affectionate. She is house trained and crate trained. When she first got here she would pee when you bent over to touch her but as her trust in people grows this is getting much better. She is super photogenic and has great eye contact. For more information and an adoption application contact Mary by email: maryhsow@gmail.com

The adoption fee is $110 which covers all the vet work that has been done including a heartworm test and for puppies their spay/neuter when old enough. For more information or an adoption application please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amara, a North Wilkesboro Border Collie/Brittany dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Brittany for sale in North Wilkesboro, or seeking a Border Collie/Brittany dog from a breeder in North Wilkesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Wilkesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Wilkesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Brittany breeders who help with Border Collie/Brittany rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Wilkesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
