Calvin is a sweet tempered guy who loves to hang around his human masters. He came to DRoH from a shelter near San Antonio. Calvin is one of the most expressive pups his foster Dad has ever seen. He whines when he wants something….or it could be he just wants attention! He loves curling up on the sofa and putting his head under a cover. This is one handsome guy! He has a nice shiny coat and his tail was broken at some point long ago…it is at a 90 degree angle! He wags it all the same, and it causes him no problem, so the vet said to leave it as is. He is fully house-trained. Calvin has a good appetite, but doesn’t gobble down his food. He gives each piece its due. He enjoys treats of any type and sleeps well in his cage at night. He is a good watchdog and sometimes has to be told to give the nasty cats a break. Calvin is currently working hard on leash training. He walks well on the leash until another dog is present. His foster Dad believes he will master this obsession because he learned to not rush out the door until invited. This shows he has intelligence and is trainable. It’s just going to take some time and patience. Calvin is very affectionate and will follow people from room to room. Right now he would probably be best as a single dog, but he does attempt to play with his foster sister. He is so good-natured it is hard to believe he won’t be able to develop bonds with other dogs. Calvin warms up quickly to strangers and is ready to find his forever home!
