Facts about Loki

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Boxer Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Loki was surrendered to the shelter because his living situation was not good for him. He is just under a year old and has had very little training. He is a sweet boy but tends to be a protective of his people. We are told he does not get along with other dogs, but we have yet to test him here. We are unsure how he would do with cats. Loki is extremely jumpy so a home with no small children is a must. When in a yard all he wants to do is cuddle, but will settle for playing ball too. He can be a little hard headed, but with consistent training and some TLC he has the potential to be an amazing new family member!

About Harvest Hills Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Harvest Hills Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization which contracts with nineteen towns in Western Maine to accept neglected , stray and abandoned cats and dogs. These animals are brought in by the towns’ animal control officers. When space is available, Harvest Hills also accepts owner surrendered animals from all surrounding communities in Maine and New Hampshire and will assist other shelters by providing a safe place for adopt able animals that would otherwise be euthanised, or did not fit another shelters admission policies.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Hours are:
10 AM to 3 PM every day except Thursday, with extended hours on Monday and Friday where we are open till 6:00!
We are CLOSED Thursdays and no appointment is needed to come in and meet our animals.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an adoption application that must be completed, and approved by staff. A fee of $80 for cats and $150 for dogs is charged. Since we must do so much more with puppies, they are available for an adoption fee of $225.
