Talulah's Story...
Talulah is a Canadian rescue!! We were asked to take her on when it became apparent that the shelter life wasn't for her. In a foster home with routine and some training, Talulah has flourished! She is a 4 month old Chihuahua mix. (Perhaps Corgi? if that's even possible?). She is great with dogs, dog savvy kids, and she walks well on a leash. She is sweet, funny, playful and absolutely loves to give kisses. She will need to be crated as she isn't completely house trained, but the foster family is working on her house manners. She isn't the biggest fan of being picked up, but has gotten better with those she is comfortable with. All in all, she is pretty adorable girl.
Talulah has had her one eye removed as a result of blunt force trauma (we have no idea what happened) when she was about 6 weeks old when she was brought in as a stray and as a result, she is a wary of people approaching her on her blind side.
Talulah's adoption fee is $450 CAD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Talulah, a Hamilton Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
