My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boone is a beautiful Blue Tick Coonhound who is as well behaved as he is handsome. With a calm energy, he is perfectly happy laying on his pillow but enjoys going for walks so he can use his awesome sniffer. He gets along great with other dogs and is working to curb his instincts to pursue the cats. Just a really great dog who is happy to see you, but has never jumped up or shown any rude behavior. Fully house trained with not one accident and would love to cuddle up on the couch with a new forever family. Here are a few videos for you to see just how handsome he is: https://youtu.be/j7G4v-t9Usg and https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j7G4v-t9Usg

Boone's foster parents say he is honestly the most beautiful dog they have ever seen. Pictures do not do him justice. He is calm, like treats and loves to go for walks. Boone was rescued as part of our "Clear the Shelter Campaign" when Dolly's Legacy rescued every animal from a rural Oklahoma shelter, all whom were slated to be killed.

Boone is approximately 2 yrs old, weighs 60 lbs (he was very thin when he arrived, is working on gaining some much-needed weight) and appears to be a purebred Blue Tick Coonhound. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. He is heartworm negative & was given a Pro-Heart injection for six months of heartworm preventative protection. He is being treated with antibiotics for ehrlichia, an infection from a tick bites. Adoption fee is $275. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application.
