Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rafiki. is one of the brothers of our newest 5 kitten family. (Timone, Kion, Mufasa, Kiara, and their mother is Nalla). There are 4 males and 1 female kitten.
This little family was found outside an abandoned home. They were all desperately hungry, as Nalla had no more milk to feed her babies. They were all hungry, underweight, without shelter, infested with fleas, and in need of emergency rescue. We are amazed how well Nalla was able to forage for food to keep producing any milk to keep her babies fed and alive. We are grateful to the kind souls who discovered them, had started to feed them, and contacted our sanctuary.
Rafiki, is very uniquely marked. The majority of his family have round circle spots of color on their coats. The majority are mostly white short hair, but each is distinctly marked.
Rafiki is white with numerous orange circles, a male, estimated to have been born 8/28/16. His family has been in the safety of our sanctuary since 10/10/16, and are adjusting to having food, shelter, and love. It will take a little while to determine each personality, but none of them are the least bit feral. They love to be handled!
The entire family is now flea free, and gaining some weight, and happy to be safe and warm. We tested Nalla, their mom, for feline leukemia/FIV, so we know the kittens are negative as well. Each kitten has been treated for fleas, received their first round of kitten vaccines, their first round of kitten wormer, and have been put on our veterinarian care schedule to receive the balance of services as they are old enough.
Their adoption fee is all inclusive of these additional services, through our veterinarian, including their spay/neuter as they are old enough.
The entire family is available for individual adoption, and must be INDOOR only kitties. They deserve a warm, safe, loving, indoor, forever home of their own. We highly recommend adopting family member too!
We do require a veterinarian reference prior to scheduling an adoption visit. We require a cat carrier be brought to the adoption visit for transport home. NO Exceptions.
