Boomer's Story...
This is Boomer who was rescued off the streets of Marshall County. Boomer is approx. 6 months old, chocolate/white Lab/Collie mix. Boomer is a sweet and affectionate boy that is full of energy, so definitely requires an activity family. He enjoys running, playing and just spending time with people. he would do well with a family with teens so he can pal around with them or an active individual that wants a great companion. Boomer is fine around other dogs, needs work walking on a leash and not to jump up so he will need someone willing to provide this young dog the training he needs. Boomer does listen when called and is treat motivated, so he will learn in no time. This loving boy deserves his adoption day and a family who will love him. Please consider sweet Boomer! If interested please go to our website and complete the preadoption application http://www.southernskiesrescue.org Boomer will be fully vetted plus microchipped prior to going to his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a Huntsville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
