Harleigh is a beautiful, sweet thing that loves walks, a sunny spot, a car ride and in true Vermont fashion, will do just about anything for cheese. She is happiest on a dog bed after moderate exercise, is house trained and follows basic commands.
She is has nice manners inside and is a sweet companion until the doorbell rings and her protective nature kicks in. Her outside behavior can use some work and she is currently getting training for aggressive behavior on leach directed at other dogs. She is distrustful of men and teenaged boys and is also being addressed in training. She has a few dog friends but it does takes her some time to warm up to them . She is a devoted and loyal dog that will love you like crazy, but she needs a firm hand. If you can give her that, she will be your greatest reward.
Our Mission Statement: Established in 1996; All Breed Rescue has rescued over 6,000 dogs from high kill shelters and has grown a vast network of volunteers and fosters in the process. As a compassionate non profit dog rescue, we work within the community through local schools, colleges and businesses to raise awareness of who we are and where we are going. As we aim for the future, we look to our community to aid us in saving more abused, frightened and neglected dogs of any breed, size and age through basic training, socializing and networking. It's with these actions we are able to place these abandoned dogs in caring fosters and loving homes here in the generous Northeast.
Our Adoption Process...
