Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read dog’s entire written bio before contacting rescue. To inquire about this dog, you do not need to press any special buttons on this website. Send a regular e-mail to Janet Cook at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. Please provide some information about your home, family and other pets. Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue is a private, foster home based rescue. Though there are some steps that precede meeting a dog, they are quick and expeditious. Thank you!
This is a great dog so please give Charlie a chance and read his bio through before passing him over! Charlie is a great dog that is easy to manage and well-trained. He is a five-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix (Chiweenie) rescued from the community (and since little dogs can easily live to be 15-16, or in some cases even older, we still consider him to be a young dog). He has beautiful soulful eyes typical of most Dachshunds, a beautiful brindle coat, and a very curled tail and a cute under-bite. He weighs 12.5 lbs. Charlie adapts very quickly to any new environment. He is friendly to all new people he meets. He is loving and sweet, good natured and a well-balanced dog with no issues, phobias or separation anxiety. Charlie is good with all dogs, big and small and lived in a home with cats. He has also been around smaller kids and is fine. Charlie is crate-trained, potty-trained, and knows how to use the dog door. He walks very well on leash and rides well in the car. He is not nippy or barky and does not destroy things in the house. He can be playful with other dogs if other dogs are playful. A plus is that he really does not shed much.
Charlie was given up by his owner because of a downward spiral in her life that left Charlie without anyone to care for him. We paid for him to have a costly dental cleaning under anesthesia, so his teeth are great and he will not need another dental for a while. Charlie is up-to-date on all shots, including rabies, treated for fleas with Nexguard, had his toenails trimmed, is micro-chipped, and was already neutered when we acquired him.
If you are interested in Charlie, this is an easygoing, loving, great dog companion that is worth considering. Please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail. Please visit my website at: http://www.angelsheartdogrescue.com and go to the Adoption Tab to read about the adoption process and fees; thank you!
