My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Popcorn is just adorable. She is a special needs little girl who is diabetic with cataracts (she takes insulin twice per day, and our ophthalmologist does not recommend anything for her eyes at this time). She is a very happy little girl!! She is approx 5 years old and 22 lbs. She is a bichon poodle/maltese mix and she was so matted had to be shaved down at the vets. She is a really sweet dog, she gets along with all of the other dogs, does well on a leash, seems to be quite well house trained, loves to follow you wherever you go, she does like company and so would do better with another dog or someone who is home a lot and not leave her alone all day long. Her limited vision does not bother her one bit!! We think a home with children over 12 would be best.

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
