Buddy (Neutered)'s Story...
"Buddy" is a majestic adult male Labrador Retrieve mix who was brought to the HSOV shortly after closing time on October 13, 2016 after a Good Samaritan found him on Caywood Road (near Marietta Ohio). This handsome guy has a shiny black short smooth coat with a patch of white on his chest, brindle shading, white toes, a long tail, and a noble-looking face with short floppy ears. "Buddy" has a friendly, outgoing personality and loves his people friends. He seemed interested (curious) about some of our shelter mascot kitties that he encountered during his photo session but wasn't aggressive toward them. "Buddy" weighs 66 lbs. and is enthusiastic about w-a-l-k-s. He is strong on the other end of a leash. "Buddy" is now available for adoption since he was not reclaimed. He was neutered on October 18, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy (Neutered), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
