Facts about LJ
Breed: Chinese Crested Mix
I am already neutered.
Hi everyone! My name is LJ and I wanted to tell you my story! I have had a pretty rough life until recently. I was bounced from home to home after being separated from my mom and siblings as a baby, kept in a small cage in a grooming salon for a year and half, and sold on Craigslist to people who didn't want me and never fed me. One day I was so hungry that I ran away to go find some food... That's the day I was run over by that big car. I dragged my broken body to an abandoned school, and I laid there for a week before someone found me, and took me to a nearby vet. I had almost given up.
Really long story short, my foster mom came to the vet's office, paid the bill and took me home. My body was badly broken; I had multiple fractures, I couldn't walk, and I was in a lot of pain. Wanting me to have a chance at life, my foster mom took me to some specialists and I had several surgeries to help fix my little broken body. My foster mom has been taking care of me ever since, and I'm happy to say that now, I'm as good as new!
So about me! They said I am a Powderpuff Chinese Crested, or maybe a mix of one. I'm about 7 years old, current on all shots, and neutered. I don't need any physical therapy and you would never even know that just a few months ago, I couldn't walk! Now I can run and jump just like my foster brothers! I am house and crate trained, although I prefer to be close to you and not in my crate. My mom wants me to go to a home with someone older, or an older couple. She wants my new family to be home with me as much as possible. I really don't like it when my younger foster brothers run around and bump into me. Since I'm older, I want to just lay down somewhere close you and rest. I don't like a lot of noise and too much activity. I will follow you around everywhere, and my favorite thing to do is snuggle, and get belly rubs! I love those!
My foster mom says she would prefer that I go to a home without any other dogs, but I would be ok with maybe an older one that won't run around too much and make a lot of noise. She isn't sure how I would do with cats, but doesn't think I would mind them much. I'm a really good boy, and my mom wishes she could keep me more than anything, but she knows that her house is too busy and loud for me to ever really be comfortable. She wants me to be happy and wants to find the perfect home for me. She says I would be great for a retired couple or person, because I'm small and don't take up much space or require much work! If you think I could come live with you, and you will keep me safe, please email my mom!! She would love to have you come meet me for yourself! I promise I will win you over! See you soon!!
