Kimmy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Kimmy's Story...
Kimmy will be 4 in December and retired from racing and moved here from Kansas. She is not small dog, cat or chicken tolerant. Jimmy will do best with a medium to large size doggy buddy.

Superman and I are soul mates. We look alike and we share an intense love of small, fluffy creatures like chickens. We hold each other’s paws and talk about how it would feel to catch one. Dreamers…

We’re also dreaming of our foster and forever homes. I love people and adventure. Although I’m almost four years old, I have a lot of energy and love to play. Ms. Wanda says I’m really smart and am learning quickly.

I think I’d be happy in a busy, active home. Once I move to foster, I might have a better idea of my perfect person soul mate. I’ll stay in touch…

Kimmy is amazing! She is smart, friendly, and playful.

Kimmy lives with several other hounds and is very well behaved. She doesn't chew on anything, but will steal the duster off the counter. (Editors note: Is it a feather duster? She probably wants to pretend it's her very own chicken.) Kimmy never touches anything else.

Kimmy loves to follow you around and is so happy to lay her head in your lap. She is very special.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kimmy, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
