Lil Red (Neutered)'s Story...
"Lil Red" is a handsome 5-month old male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on October 8, 2016 along with his brothers (Milo and Stitch) after they were found in Marietta Ohio. "Lil Red" has a beautiful orange short smooth coat in a swirled tabby pattern, a small patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and a darling face with a pink nose, long white whiskers, and hopeful trusting eyes. This little boy is full of love and silly kitten antics :) He and his brothers are sharing a large cage in our small cat room and are very bonded with each other. "Lil Red" was given vaccinations and wormer on October 8, 2016. He will be available for adoption as soon as he is neutered (at no cost to his new family) UPDATE: "Lil Red" was neutered on October 19, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 4.2 lbs. on that date. "Lil Red" and his brother "Milo" were taken to WeLovPets, Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio on December 22, 2016. "Milo" was adopted on December 24th and we are happy for him but sad for "Lil Red" :( We hope that he will also find a home asap since he misses his brother :(

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil Red (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
