Mirinda and her siblings were born at Austin Animal Center, and have been living in foster ever since. They have been living the puppy life of food, frolic and snoozes. Of her litter, Mirinda is the independent lady.
Mirinda is the only girl in her pack, so she immediately started running things. She is the first to investigate, the first to figure things out. She'll accept some cuddles if they are being offered, but she will rarely ask. She is too busy playing and exploring. She especially loves toys that make noise.
Mirinda is still young, so she will need all of the typical puppy training, such as house, leash and obedience. She has been living with some older kids and enjoys playing with them, though she might be a tad rambunctious for wee little ones. We have not observed her around cats. The best home for Mirinda would be with some active, outdoorsy owners who want to take her exploring. She would also love another dog to boss around.
Mirnda is smart, sporty and ready for action. If that is your speed, you might have met your partner in crime.
And remember, all APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team. And when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
