Ashford, CT NYC ACC death row survivor Unique has arrived to her foster home! She is a very happy and energetic young gal who is eager to please, and she comes with an unending supply of doggie kisses! Ellie Mae, FKA Unique, is a super happy girl who is in search of her forever home! She is very affectionate with all people she meets, and is respectful of her kitty and Chihuahua housemates. Ellie Mae is full of energy and would do best with an active person or family who will take her out on long hikes, she would make an ideal running buddy as she is very good on the leash and has lots of stamina. Ellie Mae is very motivated by treats, and she is a pretty quick learner (although she is still working on her greeting manners as she wants to give hugs to every new person she sees). She is a professional snuggler and and would be content to cuddle up on the couch with her favorite people (of course, with a few zoomies in between). She loves her toys, kongs with peanut butter, and playing keep-away. She is an adorable, sweet and playful little girl. She is about a year old, and 42 pounds. Ellie Mae is crate trained, up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, and ready for her forever home!
Here is what a volunteer said of her during her recent stint at the NYC animal shelter: “Unique is itty bitty and full of personality. She is VERY wiggly, playful and affectionate. She loves treats, toys and love! She does a very endearing howly demand bark -- it is so, so cute. She does it if she's sitting for a treat and I'm taking too long to find a treat, if I'm taking too long to throw her toy, and when she went to look for water in the kiddie pool and it was empty - she is so funny. She is full grown and beyond cute.”
